We had a whirlwind tour of the land of the Inca................to Cusco, a beautiful city of 350,000, high in the foothills of the Andeas. From there we took a train to Machu Picchu and were there for two days. After returning to Cusco and taking a break we took a bus to the Sacred Valley. Ate too much, shopped too much, and climbed to the top of a super Inca temple, Ollantaytambo. Over all, this group of people were great fun to travel with and we all got to know each other better. Shopping together is like a bonding experience.........and hiking around on mountains also helps. I never thought I would take another tour as such like this one but after doing it, I am very happy that I went. I took a Corn Angel with me and was took photos of it on top of Machu Picchu and then we met a wonderful archeologist, Dr. Berta Bermudadez, on the site while we were just standing around taking photos and she spent a really long time telling us all kinds of things about the Inca and the traditions and ceremonies related to Machu Picchu and so I gave her the corn angel and she seemed very happy that I did............All the people we met were very helpful and kind. A trip that I would recommend to anyone. |
